Dreams for Spring

Over 100 years ago, Springfield artist Gustavus Frankenstein brilliantly captured the serenity of Buck Creek in his oil painting, Pond on Buck Creek, Springfield, Ohio. What outdoor activities are you dreaming of this Spring?

Play Shapes of People

Basil Alkazzi’s oi painting TRANSFIGURATION IV looks a little like a figure and made us think about an art game to share:
Shapes of People is a drawing game for all ages, inspired by master of art and play, author Herve Tullet. Tullet writes books that preschool children love, and families of all ages enjoy his playful way with art. In this game, players all need something to draw or paint with and a surface large enough for everyone to mark on at the same time (paper, blackboard, cereal box cut open, etc.). One person is the “caller” and can also draw, if they wish.
