PaintShop Pro	This course is based on PaintShop Pro 7, which is a powerful graphics program with features that rival and even surpass the long time industry leading PhotoShop. PaintShop Pro retails for about $100.00 and is widely available. PaintShop Pro 7 Anniversary Edition includes many extra features, well worth a few extra bucks.
GIMP It's Free!	GNU Image Manipulation Program is a graphics program that was originally designed for the Linux operating system has now been ported to several other operating systems including Windows and Mac OS. A powerful program, but has some limitations due to patent issues with LZW compression algorithm which only affects gif and tiff format and can be worked around.
